Our Story
The old way we can no longer use, due to time (seems not enough time in the day).
We now 2024 leave the mom's with the babies.
Our secret and success to raising sweet bunnies!
Our secret to our sweet bunnies is by bring our mothers to their babies, and keeping their babies inside their bunny barn. Then they depend on love and attention from humans. All our babies stay together inside at all times, and during the day their mother is brought to them to be fed and nurtured.
In nature the mother leaves her burrow to eat and comes back to her babies to feed them her milk.
Being hands on with our babies for an average of 60 days, desensitizes them to the human touch.
We do this for you to have a more sweeter bunny. Since the rabbit will be with humans most of their lives, we found this seems to help make more of a sociable sweet friendly pet bunny for you!
This method is harder work, each day to connect babies with their mothers, than like most rabbitry's who will leave the babies with the mothers until ready-easier job. When with their mother 24/7, babies feel they do not need humans as much We found this methods pays off; for a sweeter bunnies that will run to you, and not run from you. Please see our great testimonies from other bunny lovers"
Babies milk transition is between 6 to 10 weeks with 8 weeks being the average for babies to be ready to go to their new home. Some are ready faster than others also in the same litter, we post pics when ready.
We raise our babies inside however they can be placed outside when they are older. We work hard to start them out however it is up to you to finish them out. The more time you put into your bunny the more success you will have with your bunny. While adjusting to their new home; their new owners are still learning to hold them. Remember bunnies are animals and still have a mind of their own. They may scratch for the fear of falling if they feel like they do not have the support they need while being held. This is why we suggest filing their nails down or wrapping a towel around their back feet, maybe putting infant soft shoes/booties on their back feet and front feet for precautions until you learn how to hold them correctly. The more you hold them, the more they will come use to being held. If you wait on your bunny to come to you, they will learn you do not want to hold them
"We believe in raising baby bunnies with the highest quality of care. We try to give them plenty of playtime, balanced nutrition, & interaction. We know each of our bunnies individually, and they know us. From day one we are hands on ensuring each bunny is healthy & happy as can be. Given much attention, the bunnies are highly sociable, friendly, & intelligent pets.
We feel our rabbitry is a special rabbitry due to our strive for a pet friendly more than just showable. Our rabbitry tries to specialize in raising pet bunnies to be more sweeter & friendlier. We enhance this by having all our newborn babies born handled at birth until rehomed. So they can be easily handled from day one & given a lot of attention. They have playtime for fun that makes an "Exceptional Pet Bunny" or “Very Showable Rabbit”. Our rabbits are Purebred and Parents are Pedigreed.
Pedigreed assures the same breed lineage- 3 or more generation’s back, so no other breed is involved. Only pedigree can prove the bloodline of a rabbit! So you are guaranteed what you are buying!
There is a difference in a domesticated pet rabbit, and a breeder meat rabbit. The domesticated pet rabbit has a lineage back to the 80’s, so they have been pet-breed to have a milder and not wilder meat-breed, rabbit demeanor. Therefore if you have had a bad experience with some rabbits, it may be due from their lineage line of breeding.
