Why We Don't Feed Rabbits Pellets:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ml2Kb5s68wU
All Grains need to be organic..... Barley, Wheat and Corn.
Hay/grass needs to be non-gmo. Timothy is non-gmo. (Alfalfa is GMO-ed, so needs to be organic if you get Alfalfa.)
Please do not feed "Organic rabbit food", too many bad additives added.
PLEASE NOTE; 'if the bag is of very dusty grains-return it'

FRUITS AND VEGGIES

Water
WATER: Best is well water-well water has our needed live probiotic's-living water. Our city or community water has too many chemicals for bunnies, and also the chemicals have killed all the natural probiotic's that is in our living water-so best to use only 'spring water' bottle water-it has no additives or chemicals added to the water like: drinking water or destilled water. There is no live probiotic's in any bottled water because the water has been pasteurized. So its well water or spring water:)
Salt Details: Also we like only natural Sea Salt (no chemicals or additives)
- Enticing rock salt block comes straight from the Himalayan Mountains.
- 100% natural and packed full of iron, potassium and magnesium.
- Includes a rope and free PVC salt brick holder for easy treating.
- Weather-resistant so it lasts longer outside than other salt licks.
- Helps eliminate boredom and destructive behaviors by keeping them occupied.
*All veggies are good like- spinach, parsley, kale, carrots, bell pepper, celery etc.
*All fruits are good like-banana's, apple's, strawberry's, blueberry's, etc.
*Can add your mixture of (Rosemary, Thyme, and Flaxseed) sprinkled over feed is good.
No D3, mushrooms, sea weed or Kelp-they are all a fungus (that is feed by the add 'cane molasses') that will: live and grow inside the body, that will eventually take over the rabbit's body with a fungal infection-(cancer)!

*This grain/pellets is proved,
makes strong mothers milk*
* It is always better to over feed than to under feed your bunny. If they start to feel skinny, feed them more. If they feel fat, feed them less. If skinny they may be losing their food from the bowl by digging it out. Look for food on the ground, then they need a food feeder instead of a regular bowl.
*They have their unlimited "Timothy hay" for daily snacking. Timothy hay has the most protein for bunnies, so it's considered the best hay for Rabbits over orchard grass or oat hay, etc.
GMO Alfalfa can be very dangerous for bunnies unless you get the Organic-nonGMO alfalfa hay.
__________________________________________________________
How wonderful:) that we found the mixture in the chicken scratch-lol of only straight organic Barley, only straight organic wheat, only straight organic corn.
Oats ok, they are not fan of the peas, but its ok.
No other additives, just straight grains only_____
Please no organic grains with organic oils included.
Please No organic canola oil, or no organic soy oil, or no organic vegetable oils added to the grains please.
Only pure organic straight grains only. All organic's is always non-gmo!
Organic oat, organic flaxseed, organic sunflower seeds, are great, but they are little more expensive to purchase.
No organic soy please-it's organic plastic-maybe.
No additives of any kind!! No added vitamins, etc.
that's what fruits and veggies are for :)
Organic non-gmo Corn is fine for rabbits, that's what they feed them in the old days. It's the new days of gmo corn, and heavy pesticides of why corn is bad for rabbits today. Organic non-gmo Corn is excellent for us too! We love our Organic non-gmo corn bread and chicken, where I come from.
Chemical's create gas!!!
GMO crops: spray 'round-up', which is very very bad.
NonGMO crops: spray harsh chemicals, and can spray it on heavy to kill insects, weeds etc., but no round-up is sprayed-it would 'kill the crop'.
Organic crops: spray less harsher chemicals and spray light by the rules.
Chemicals causes 'gases in the belly' that sometimes some animals can not past, and it kills them. Rabbits & goats have a very hard time w/gas. 'Round up' is so strong that it can produce bad gases in the belly, and some other harsh chemicals will too.
Chemicals also kill the needed natural probiotics living inside the body.

Timothy hay/grass has not been GMO yet. It is nonGMO'ed, so naturally easy to digest. They will also need unlimited fresh Timothy hay. Any brand of Timothy Hay is fine.
Timothy Hay has the most highest needed protein than all other hay/grass types, so its the best. (other than organic Alfalfa)
*Timothy hay/grass is Non-GMO, and strong chemicals are not used. So being natural-and not man made, so it is easy for babies to digest.
* Alfalfa hay/grass and pellets is GMO'ed, where strong chemicals are used-Round Up. So being not natural-and now man altered, it is hard for babies to digest, and the stronger chemicals used, cause gas in the belly that can kill.
So any Alfalfa hay/grass or pellets would ALWAYS need to be only organic.
* You can give organic alfalfa hay/grass pellets, but it is more expensive. Non-GMO alfalfa where strong chemicals are not used. So being in it's natural form- God made, it is easy for babies to digest.
*GMO is not naturally made for the body, so it is hard for the body to digest or break down.
Babies can get sick ....and creates gas in the belly that can kill them. Link below:-"The Bloat"
G I stasis...the bloat...the silent baby bunny killer.
https://wabbitwiki.com/wiki/Gastrointestinal_stasis
With BLOAT there is a very low chance of recovery. Prevention is the way to avoid BLOAT ! Chemicals that don't create much gas.
We no longer use or recommend the
Oxbow Adult Rabbit Food for our baby bunnies
Oxbow Adult Rabbit Food for our baby bunnies
HERE IS THE INGREDIENT LIST FOR OXBOW ADULT RABBIT, WE WILL BREAK IT DOWN TO WHY WE NO LONGER FEED
First: Vitamin D3: very very bad for a bunny, it now comes from a type of yeast base, and yeast raises-right which makes things bigger than what they should be. Vitamin D & Vitamin D3 are not the same, and are not similar. D3 is now from mushrooms not fish.
Cane Molasses: Just like dogs, this sugar is not good for them, so it's not good for rabbit either. Natural Fruit's sugar are great for them!
Soybean meal/hulls/oil: plastic, enough said.
Hydrolyzed yeast/yeast culture: is fungus-cancer. Yeast/fungus is another name for cancer.
This all can be researched- for better health for your rabbit and you.
Real Rabbit mother's milk: is another name for probiotics, probiotics fight cancer-yeast/fungus.
But it's better not to put the yeast/fungus inside a body. No yeast, No mushrooms, No sea weed, No Kelp-period!
Strong chemicals that's used on feed, so these chemicals can cause rabbit cancer/fungus.
Because chemicals kills needed probiotics in the body to fight off cancer/fungus

*Babies must have a water bowl until 6 months to lap enough needed water, then they can have a water bottle if prefer when fully developed.
*Their tongue is not strong enough to work the bottle for the amount of water needed when young. However water bowls are always best to not mess up their teeth. They spend a lot of time biting the metal tube hoping to get more water, over rolling the ball or stick which is not a natural way for bunnies to have to get water. They prefer to lap from a stream/creek or water bowl. However water bottles are good to have for extra needed water when days gone. Dehydration is the number 1 reason rabbits can get sick, well water is best-has a lot of natural probotics.
*Can add your mixture of (Rosemary, Thyme, and Flaxseed) sprinkled over feed is good.
*All veggies are good like- spinach, parsley, kale, carrots, bell pepper, etc
*All fruits are good like-banana's, apple's, strawberry's, blueberry's, etc.
No mushrooms or Kelp-they are fungus, and fungus takes over the body!
Sunlight, fresh air, dirt, leaves, sticks, exercise are bunnies best friend!
No packaged treats, they have sugar, bad ingredients, etc.
PLEASE DO NOTE
Babies can not live on grass/hay alone, and babied will die from malnutrition on HAY ALONE. So please feed your baby bunny.
Best not to under feed or over feed your baby bunny.
Wild rabbits don’t just stop at eating grass/hay! They eat grass/hay, and weeds, protein in various varieties of wildflowers like dandelions, Broadleaf Plantains, seeds, clovers, tree twigs and bark, conifer needles, as well as seeds and buds for needed nutrition.
We no longer use or recommend the
'Oxbow Organic Bounty Rabbit Food' for our bunnies.

The organic has a lot of good, but the bad outweighs the good. Yeast and and the bad kind of Vitamin D3 to start.....etc.
Now-a-days D3 made from fungus, not fish.

Silver is fine-er which we prefrer for bunnies. We love Royal bedding.

Who says Rabbits often become too much of a burden?
There are some that seem to think rabbits require as much attention as a cat or dog, and need 4 to 8 hours of out-of-the-cage/hutch play time a day. That is so untrue. We have had bunnies all our life, and RABBITS are NOT NEEDY PETS ! Rabbits are the best, and everyone should own one. They are so funny to watch, and so cute! Why are they discouraging people from owning the best pet ever! The domesticated pet rabbit breed have more of a milder demeanor than most breeder meat rabbits that you will mostly find turned into the animal shelters. Most all pet rabbits stay under 4 pounds, and see how many you can find free or at shelters-not many. Only the free ones are the bigger breeds or meat rabbits. You should not find any of our bunnies in shelters because we always welcome them back if you can no longer keep them.
• Bunnies DO NOT need a bunny friend, you or other pets are their friend. They love people, cats, dogs, guinea pigs, etc.
We rehome more single bunnies than dual bunnies. However they are so cute, so you may want more : -).
• Bunnies may have a long life span, but people are always looking for a free pet rabbit breeds if you find
you can not keep your 7 to 12-year commitment. So no worries there.
• All bunnies need for their diet is grass hay, grains, fruits, veggies, salt and water. If you go on vacation
leave enough food & water for the day's gone. They will be just fine, we do it all the time.
• Most all can be litter-box trained, some just take longer than others. Place the shavings in their potty box.
• Rabbits do not need to be spayed/neutered, not heard of back in the days & holds true today.
• Rabbits do not need routine vet checks; only if been sick for a while, which is very rare.
• Bunnies do not take a lot of time, and they are very low maintenance starter pets. They do not
require much attention as a cat or dog, and they do not need 4 to 8 hours of out-of-cage play a
day. Sometimes it is days before we can play with our adults bunny, and they are just content with
themselves as long as they are feed. They love being walked around on a small harness leash,
or run & dig in a small outdoor portable 30x24 inch 8 panel dog exercising play pen.
• Bunnies are not just indoor pets & need to live inside. They are just as happy living outside!
Ask all Show Rabbit Breeder if they keep their prized bunny inside; they keep them outside!
We suggest both cages in & out for a perfect alternative from keeping your bunny inside all
the time. If you have a house rabbit, a hutch is a good option for while you're away at
work, school or asleep, so your bunny can watch the birds & trees, and smelling the breeze.
This will help save on bedding cleaning time inside your home. Rabbits really do love being outside
too, in a safe high hutch. Place their potty pan inside the hutch for them to use, and gardener
loves rabbit manure waste. Just watch out for the heat wave! With all their fur heats them up for a heat stroke!
• They are social creatures, and do enjoy being around the family, but busy household Do Not cause
them stress. They are fine with or without a lot of attention, but of course with anything the more
attention- the more they will love you. They do not require a huge living space that gives them room
to hop around when confined. A cage of 1.5 x 2.5 will work fine, but of course the bigger the better if possible.
An inside cage must have high walls at the plastic bottom part, to kept bedding from flinging out on the floor.
