Do not forget you corner potty litter pan & hay rack. We like the horizontal hay rack best over the vertical rack. The wire ones are the best with the salt holder than the wood which seems stops the flow of the hay from being pulled out easily for the bunny.. Here are some links:

The simple cage is the best! One with a high plastic bottom to hold the bedding inside when they race around in their pen. One with a wire top, so they can SEE out!! The smaller cages are easier for you.
Please only use cages designed for a rabbit- no dog cages/kennels, no chicken coops, etc. They may try to squeeze through and mostly die from crushing their lungs. The wire top has to the be: horizontal and spaced for a rabbit, not vertical like most dog crates/kennels that are design for a dog and that are not designed for a bunny!
Best NOT to have a cave, igloo, hut or house for your bunny to hide, retreat, withdraw or become recluse by running to their hut by habit. This can dis-socialize them to not stay in tune & attentive to YOU!!
If your cage come with a hut/ ledge, it is best to remove it.

These are the best indoor cages. Bunnies run in circles around the cage, and a more squarer base is better than an elongated/skinny rectangular base is not recommended. Remove all huts/shelters/hide outs, to keep the bunny from having a place to retreat from you. This can make them less sociable, by shear habit, to run away to hide. Lets keep the bunny running to you inside their cage.
Bigger cages makes more work for you, and harder to handle and clean. You be more happier with a simple average style cage.
Bigger cages makes more work for you, and harder to handle and clean. You be more happier with a simple average style cage.
Below are rectangular cages to skinny/elongated. The bunny has no room to circle, they can only bounce from one end to the other. These are our least favorite, they are not recommended.
We are not a fan of any of these bunny homes pictured below!
We do not recommend them at all.
Some styles was first made for chickens -not rabbits. Its not your bunny,
its your cage. Make it easy for YOU with the right cage- not the wrong one.

BELOW If you go with these for outdoor hutches. It has to be at least 2-1/2 or more FEET off the ground, so flies will not sit on the bunny,
Wire would need to be on the bottom, so the bunny can not dig out, or another animal dig in to get your bunny. Also there is not much air flow,
so bunnies can have a heat stroke in these types of hutches.

Rabbit Outdoor Hutches
During these times- lumber being higher priced in 2022,
we are not building any outdoor bunny hutches 'pic below'
It's not your bunny-it's your Hutch!
Rabbits need wire bottom hutches if outdoors. . . .for many reasons. For ventilation, for flies and bugs not to sit or lay eggs on them, and for better cleaner area You can place a small removable resting board on the wire in the hutch for time off the wire,
Sometimes there are custom outdoor bunny hutches
The prefect outdoor hutch for your bunny is a simple plan best for Easy Cleaning, and needed Air Flow.
Flat Roof styles are 4.5 feet tall from the ground to the top
Sorry we make only one style: an outdoor flat roof hutch. We found the simple plan is the best for easy cleaning and air flow.
The flat roof material is by: Ondura Corrugated Cellulose Fiber/Asphalt Roof Panel from Lowe's
A rabbit hutch is a perfect alternative from keeping your bunny inside all the time. Even if you have a house rabbit, a high hutch is a good option for while you're away at work & school, so your bunny can keep entertained watching the birds & trees, and smelling the breeze, and not always having to be inside alone.
Bless Bunny hutches are an ideal simple & open design. The simpler, the better for easy access, easy cleaning, and an open floor plan for possible for add-ins. Can easily handle a removable insert "nesting box or resting box" for extra warmth, or small sitting board to have "off time" from the wire. Very Lightweight and practical. Perfect for one pet bunny or two small pet bunnies, simple and open design. Can place hutches side by side for rabbits to socialize.
Brand new hand built outdoor rabbit hutch with Large cage space dimensions. Built easy to move yet sturdy and not top-heavy. Extra Large front side access door, easy opens for you to maneuver around inside the cage. Three (3) feet off the ground for easy access so not to hurt "your back" having to bend over to feed or pet, and safety from all types of outside predators. Tall enough inside for your rabbit to stretch up on hind legs for playing & jumping.
Professional & beautiful hutch. Quality plywood & rabbit wire bottoms. Lower bottom parts of the Legs are fiber-glassed for rot protection, entire hutch painted to keep the moisture out and prevent wood rot. No pretreated wood for their health. Durable plastic top for less heaviness
Boarded in three sides at back to keep warm for winter protection & rain, and three sides open with wire front side for cool summer breeze. We like the bigger hole wire for the sides, so the rabbit can see out clearer and easily view outside of the cage through with larger holes than using the "smaller hole wire" all around the cage which is harder for you & them to see all the way through.
We buy all our supplies at local hardware stores where you can too if you like to built them one. All rabbits need an outdoor hutch "get away" when the weather is nice. Quality built, rabbit hutch with excellent design from rabbit expert. Rabbits need to be up off the ground so they don't get sick & cannot dig out or be exposed to predators.
Don't be fooled by the online designs where you have to pull out & clean a dirty tray. The bunny manure will dry and you can just easily rake it out underneath. You will be pleased with this design!

HAY
Hay is a must have for rabbits, and a lot of Pet stores hay are so way overpriced. You'll find yourself paying too much for a small bag of hay. You may need to buy by the bale. Standlee Premium Timothy Hay, Grab Go 50 lb. Compressed Bale, at Tractor Supply Co cost around $20.00, and it will stay fresh & last you for one year of use per rabbit. Just cut a small hole up top and pull out hay.
WHY HAY "A Must": rabbits keep their self very clean by grooming like cats, and like cats they get hairballs, so the foliage help them past items from their intestines. Other types of hay do not taste as good, so they will not eat a lot like they will with Timothy Grass/ Hay which also has more nutrition. Also they are herbivores and love & needs to eat grass.
Alfalfa is so yummy, but to way too rich for them to have everyday- only a treat.

FEED
2022 We do not recommend any rabbit feed due to bad ingredients added
"Best to give" is nongmo vegetables & fruits; you can buy them at the mark down sections of the grocery stores or farmer markets. They love carrots, bell pepper, and it is great for them. All natural grasses & leaves from nature they get from being on the ground for play time as well is good for them.
*HAY MUST BE - has to be Timothy. Will last one year fresh.

Water a BIG MUST! Clean water in a bowl. Smaller breed bunnies have a very hard time learning how to use the stick bottle pole vs ball roller pole and will not be able to get enough needed daily water due to their baby tongue is not strong enough to get the need daily water. The large ceramic bowls are heavy & hard for them to turn over, and high enough not to kick the bedding into!
If you choose to use a water bottle, leave the a water bowl inside the cage until you know for sure that the baby bunny has learn how to use the bottle for water. The bottle has to have a ball not a stick at he end. Water levels will tell you how much they are drinking. Dehydration will make a baby bunny very sick fast.
Vegetables & Fruits: the "Best to give" is vegetables & fruits; you can buy them at the mark down sections of the grocery stores or farmer markets. They love carrots, bell pepper, and it is great for them. http://rabbit.org/suggested-vegetables-and-fruits-for-a-rabbit-diet/
Chewing: Rabbits need to chew, both for physical and psychological reasons. Wicker baskets, non-poisonous logs and sticks, small cardboard box/tube, paper, straw, and dried-out yard pine cones are all good choices. Do not give just a chew stick! People often buy these strange orange-and-green wooden sticks from the pet-supply store which a chew stick is not interesting, even if it's dyed orange and shaped like a carrot. The more toys, and the greater variety, the better. A rabbit who has only a stick, a log, or a piece of two-by-four to chew on, is going to be a bored rabbit. And a bored rabbit is a naughty rabbit.
"Rabbits do not need baths unless for some reason they get overly dirty- then give them a bath. But they will daily groom to keep their self very clean. They really do not need to be fixed- spayed or neutered, or need to see a vet unless very sick."
Rabbits need:
1) Water, 2) Feed 3) Hay- Timothy, 4) Shelter-Habitat, Cage, Hutch
5) Bedding, 6) Outdoor exercising pen-to dig, run around & jump,
7) Chew items-your yard pine cones, sticks, 8) Mineral& Salt Licks/Rock,

10) Sweet Talk & Love of Course!
